Matias Suarez and his failed transfer caused a lot of turbulence within the club. Players are not allowed to talk about the failed transfer to avoid further escalation of the situation.

Manager Van Holsbeeck announced as well that he will examine who is responsible for the injury of Suarez. It is likely that the medical staff will have to take the blame. Though the injury is nothing very serious and can be treated well. An operation is not necessary, but offers the best solution. In that case, Suarez will be out for about three months.

Another remarkable result of the failed transfer is that Suarez is now thinking of adopting the Belgian nationality. With a passport from a European country, he could more easily be transferred to, for example, England. But it would also open the door for him to play for the Belgian national team (that is lacking offensive power).
