Anderlecht take 3 points at Zulte Waregem

After a great start in the Champions League against Milan, Anderlecht managed to take home 3 points from Zulte-Waregem. After 3 tied games in a row in the Belgian league, the victory was more than welcome. The game ended 2-3.


Zulte Waregem took the lead after only 6 minutes. It wasn't until the 30th minute that Dieumerci Mbokani finished a perfect assist from Milan Jovanovic, 1-1.

Shortly after the break, Anderlecht took the lead, when Iakovenko -who had only been on the field for 40 seconds- scored with a great finish to Olivier Deschacht's center.

But Zulte Waregem did an even better job when youngster Jens Naessend scored the equalizer, after being on the field for only 10 seconds.

Anderlecht seemed to be heading towards another tied game, but Tom De Sutter has a record of saving Anderlecht at Zulte Waregem. Just like he did last year, he gave Anderlecht the 3 points. Zulte's goalie Sammy Bossut wrongly estimated an assist by Milan Jovanovic and De Sutter couldn't miss in front of an open goal. 2-3, and Anderlecht take home the 3 points and come in second in the ranking after Club Bruges.
