Anderlecht defeated KV Kortrijk yesterday with 1-0. Kortrijk, having the best defence in the Jupiler Pro League, came to Brussels for one point. Anderlecht took the initiative and created chances. The goal only came in minute 90.

The Mauves took control over the game rapidly and Kortrijk was forced back into their own box. Though the visitors counter attacked a few times, thus the Anderlecht defence had to stay sharp. The Mauves weren't able to create any serious danger though, until the offensive began 10 minutes before the break.

Bruno and Praet had excellent chances, but goalkeeper Keet's saves were even better. Keet also stopped Biglia's penalty a few minutes later after Reynaud had touched the ball with his hands in the box. Also Jovanovic and Mbokani were stopped by the goalie.

In the second half, Anderlecht increased the pressure and Kortrijk didn't even have time any more to counter attack. Nuytinck had two good chances, but the ball refused to go in.

Time slowly ran out for Anderlecht, still creating chances. In the meantime, Kortrijk had collected a bunch of yellow cards trying to stop Anderlecht's offensive power. In the last minute, the Brussels' team got what they deserved: Jovanovic centered to Kouyate, he passed the ball into Mbokani's feet who turned and scored: 1-0. In the remaining extra time, nothing really happened any more and Anderlecht increased their lead in the ranking.
