Anderlecht beat OH Leuven for the first time since the club is in the highest division. The Mauves won, after a difficult game, with 2-1. The Belgian champions are now 11 points ahead of Club Brugge, Standard and Genk.

Zulte-Waregem follow at 6 points.

Anderlecht struggled the whole match against a strong visiting defence. Jovanovic, Praet and Bruno had the first good chances of the match, but also Leuven created danger on the counter attack. Azevedo missed the target though. Anderlecht took the lead a little later when Mbokani converted a penalty after a hand ball in the box. Bruno failed to double the lead a few minutes later.

OH Leuven scored the equaliser minutes before half time on a counter attack. Azevedo out played Gillet on the wing and offered the 1-1 to Ibou. But five minutes after the break, Mbokani brought Anderlecht ahead again. Pressure mounted but the home team could not score a third goal. Gislason came close to equalising but his effort was held by the crossbar.
