Anderlecht ends the year with 10 wins in a row

In the last game of the year, Anderlecht defeated Lierse with 4-1. De Sutter played near Mbokani and made one of the four goals. Other goals were scored by Mbokani, Jovanovic and Vargas. Elgabas scored for Lierse.


After his suspension, Mbokani returned in the squad. It wasn't De Sutter, but it was Kanu who was placed on the bench. Anderlecht played again with a 4-4-2 formation. Wasilewski replaced the injured Kouyate.

The first half an hour had not much to see. After 38 minutes, Mbokani made his 15th of the season. Bruno brought the ball into the box from his flank. The Congolese headed the ball against the nets.

Just before half, De Sutter found Jovanovic who made 2-0.

The second half started with a chance for Bourabia, but a few minutes later Gillet found De Sutter who made the 3-0 with a smart goal. This goal is number 9 for De Sutter.

Elgabas scored for Lierse after an hour of play. Nuytinck worked a free kick away in Elgabas' feets who kicked the ball beside Proto: 3-1.

Vargas, who came to substitute Bruno after 77 minutes, scored the 4-1 in the last minutes of the game. The assist came from Jovanovic. With this victory Anderlecht keeps Zulte Waregem on eight points. Anderlecht receives Zulte Waregem in the first game after the winter break.
