Anderlecht kept all the opponents on the same distance. Genk and Standard played 0-0 while also Lokeren lost two points. Zulte Waregem's match was postponed. Anderlecht themselves played 2-2 in Bruges.

Bruges were the better side in the first half. The first chance was for Iakovenko though. The home side slowly became more dominant and when Bacca appeared alone in the box, Proto had to intervene: penalty and a yellow card for the goalkeeper. Proto stopped Vadis' penalty. Refaelov missed his shot in the rebound but that way the ball ended up in Vadis' feet again, who was at least 2 meters offside. He scored and the goal was validated since the linesman didn't move a muscle: a capital mistake in a game of such importance. The whole Anderlecht team and staff reacted furiously and play was only resumed after several minutes.
The Mauves reacted quickly, but Praet was stopped by the post. That was the only chance of the visitors before half time though.

In the second half, the visitors were more dominant, but lacked efficiency in front of the goal. The Brugians were also dangerous via Bacca who scored the 2-0 on a centre of Lestienne.

Van den Brom made drastic chances then and decided to swap defenders for more offensive power with De Sutter, De Zeeuw and Armenteros. Gillet succeeded in scoring with a deflected ball and from then on, Anderlecht started dominating the match. Not much later, De Zeeuw put Armenteros alone in front of goalkeeper Kujovic and he equalised: 2-2.

Anderlecht went for more, but Nuytinck had to stop Trickovski from storming towards Proto at the cost of a red card. Therefore, the game ended in a draw.
