François Sermon passed away

François Sermon died last night at the age of 90. Sermon was the last survivor of the first Anderlecht team that won a title (in 1947). Sermon played for Anderlecht between 1939 and 1953. He also played for the national team.


Chairman Roger Vanden Stock reacted: "We will remember him as a real Anderlecht player. He stayed loyal to our club and even at his old age he frequently visited the stadium. May he rest in peace."
