Anderlecht defeated Standard Sunday afternoon with 2-0. Guillaume Gillet scored both goals for Anderlecht. The first with a header, the second from the penalty mark. Due to this victory, Anderlecht is on top of the ranking again.
In the first half, there wasn't much excitement. Anderlecht dominated and Standard came for one point. After 20 minutes, Proto sent Suarez deep and he scored. Yet, the linesman had, incorrectly once again, seen offside. Ten minutes later, Kljestan's header missed the target.

Continue reading In the second half, Anderlecht opened the score when Gillet headed a free kick of Biglia against the net. That same Gillet doubled the lead when Mbokani was brought down in the box: penalty and perfectly converted by Anderlecht's right back. Standard could never launch a counter offensive and Anderlecht even came close to a 3rd goal when Suarez' effort hit the upright.
