Anderlecht - Lokeren: 2-3

First game, first loss. An impressive Lokeren defeated Anderlecht rather easily. Only youth players Youri Tielemans and Chancel Mbemba gave the crowd something to be enthusiastic about.


Although the first minutes of the game were in control of the purple ones, the first big opportunity was on the other side, a well measured cross from Remacle to newcomer Hans Vanaken led to the opening goal. After substitute Tielemans took Kljestans place, a real leader was on the pitch. It was due to his good passing the equalizer was made. A new beginning. But again Hans Vanaken scored. An other beauty! Anderlecht started playing with 4 strikers, but it was Lokeren who succesfully finished a counter attack, 1-3. Anderlecht was given a ultimate chance to get at least one point by scoring 2 penalties. But only one of them passed the goal keeper. 2-3 is the final result.
