Anderlecht beat Cercle 0-4

Anderlecht took the three points home from Bruges yesterday by beating Cercle with a 0-4 score. Bruno was man of the match with two goals.


Both teams took a good start with a few small chances on both sides. But the home side soon collapsed when Deschacht aimed his volley from 25 meters into the left upper corner: 0-1. From then on, Anderlecht was dominant and only had to be on the lookout for counter attacks. Also defensive mistakes led to a few small chances for Cercle.

Anderlecht had opportunities to double the lead but had to wait until a few minutes before the break to cheer again. Cyriac opened for Suarez and he lifted the ball over Cercle's goalie: 0-2.

In the second half the visitors quickly scored again. Bruno turned and placed the ball into the upper right corner from a 20 meter distance. The Belgian champions had several more chances but only scored one more goal when Bruno placed the ball next to the Cercle keeper: 0-4.

At the end of the match Najar and Milivojevic made their debuted while the young Tielemans stayed on the field for 90 minutes.
