The website bediables.be could have an extensive interview with Massimo Bruno. He now plays for the national team U21, but he dreams about playing for the real national team one day.
"Every player wants to move forward in his life. From the moment you have been selected by the national team U21, you hope to be able to play for the real national team. But you can't put too much pressure on yourself, neither be focused on that single thing. Only good results with my team will help me to become a Red Devil", says Bruno.
"But it's very difficult to get a chance in the national team, because of the many talented Belgian players. Of course it will be tough when six good players have a chance to play on a regular position than having players who don't know how to play football. But the rivalry also means I want to move forward."
Could Bruno outplay some players like Kevin De Bruyne and Nacer Chadli? "There is only big difference: they play on a totally different level, that's all. They play for the biggest teams abroad. Before they moved to such big teams, they played a good season in Belgium or Holland. So, that's waiting me aswell. I have to show my skills, improve my statistics, and show I'm one of the best players in Belgium first. "
What if he will ever be selected for the national team? "A selection for the Red Devils would be wonderful. It means you're one of the 25 best players of the country if you're being selected by the national team. It moves you, knowing we have so many talented players right now."
