CL: Anderlecht in group C

The draw for the Champions League group phase just took place. Unlike last year, Anderlecht had to be satisfied with a place in pot 4. Benfica, PSG and Olympiacos came out as opponents.


This afternoon, just a few minutes ago, Anderlecht got to know their opponents. The Mauves will have several hard games ahead in group C. From pot 1 came Benfica. Pot 2 led to PSG as opponent.

The third pot gave the Mauves the most feasible opponent, namely Olympiacos. The ambition is to survive the group phase as third and continue in the Europa League or even do better and advance to the next Champions League round, though that will be a difficult task.
