Anderlecht take three points against OHL

Anderlecht won this weekend against Oud Heverlee Leuven. The home team follows at five points of leader Standard, on a fifth place. Next weekend, Anderlecht face Genk while Standard play vs. Bruges.


The Mauves took a good start, played at a high pace for ten minutes, but failed to score. This allowed OH Leuven to restore the balance in the match. Two minutes before half time, Bandalovski lost the ball to Deschacht and eventually Kljestan scored. One minute later, Mitrovic appeared in front of the OHL keeper and doubled the lead.

OHL started well after the break, but Anderlecht took control rapidly. When Boucaut gave a penalty for a hands ball (Deschacht had his hands on his back though...) Messoudi scored 2-1. OH Leuven started an offensive but could not create any decent chance. Eventually Petterson and Ngolok were sent off with red cards. And also Anderlecht lost a man when Vanden Borre was sent off. Meanwhile, Praet had sent Mitrovic deep and he had scored the 1-3, the final result.
