With Silvio Proto and Thomas Kaminski being injured, Davy Roef had to play against KV Mechelen. Trainer John van den Brom is worried because also Roef isn’t 100% fit.

"I was surprised to see Proto leaving the field,” said Van den Brom. “I hoped he would be able to wait until the first half was over ,but the injury was too serious.”

Normally Kaminski had to take Proto’s place, but because of a knee injury Kaminski hasn’t trained.

"Yes, we do have a goalie problem because all three of them are injured. Davy hasn’t been able to train for about two months. We put him on the bench anyway and he ended up playing.”

Yet there is some good news. According to the doctor Kaminski would be able to play against Brugge and also Roef will be fit by then. Proto’s injury is more serious however.
