Youri Tielemans will not leave Belgium before he graduates high school. That's what the youngster said in a rare interview. Tielemans is currently being followed by many European clubs.

"A diploma is important to me. I won't leave Belgium before I graduate high school. This is my first year in the A-team, so next year I want to confirm my good performances. Under Hasi I am playing on my best position, on the number 8. Under Van den Brom I had to play more defensive. That was interesting, because I learnt to defend better like this. But it's not my best place on the field."

Anderlecht is a club that became famous the last few years for its excellent youth trainings. Yet many of them leave the club at early age, with an uncertain outcome. Vincent Kompany, Adnan Januzaj and Romelu Lukaku are Anderlecht's best known youth products. Kompany stayed long enough in Brussels and made a step to a slightly larger club before reaching the absolute top in Manchester City. Januzaj left at young age to Manchester United and reached the first team. He's an exception, since most players who left at young age disappeared into oblivion. Romelu Lukaku was almost one of the latter. He left for Chelsea, but lost one year of his career there. Eventually his talent would lead him out of this situation.

Youri Tielemans certainly has the intellect to stay a few years longer, to mature before making the step to a European top club. If he plans his career well, the sky is the limit for him.
