Club Bruges defeated Anderlecht in the final of the Belgian Cup on Sunday. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the equalizer after 89 minutes, but Lior Refaelov decided the game in the dying seconds.

Bruges started well with a lot of pressure and several chances. After only 12 minutes, De Sutter was left alone on a free kick and scored with a volley. Meanwhile, Anderlecht had restored the balance in the match, but had difficulties creating chances. In the first half, the only decent efforts came from outside the box. After the goal, Bruges left the ball to Anderlecht and did nothing more than defending.

The Mauves became better in the second half, but they had to take risks, leaving room for counter attacks. On a corner kick, Bruges scored again, but the referee had seen a foul. A bit later Izquierdo was caught offside. With 20 minutes left, Anderlecht replaced their backs for wingers and moved forward. Bruges had difficulties surviving the storm, but could count on Ryan to save a header of Mitrovic, an excellent effort of Praet and a good shot of Dendoncker. Mitrovic brought Anderlecht level again with just one minute left on the clock. With a nice volley he beat goalkeeper Ryan.

It looked like Anderlecht had put themselves in the driver seat for extra time. But in the very last seconds of the match, the ball fell in front of Refaelov's feet and he placed the ball from outside the box into the net. Game over.
