All 3 Champions League opponents won

The three Champions League opponents of Anderlecht all won their games in their domestic league or cup.


Valencia beat Deportiva La Coruna with a heavy 1-5 score. That way, Valencia is the new leader. Cooadi, Di Vaio, Vicente Rufete and Baraja scored the goals.

Inter Milaan defeated Atalanta with 2-3. Adriano decided over the game in the 87th minute. Stankovic and Recoba scored the other goals for Inter.

Werder Bremen eliminated Bayer Leverkusen in the German cup with 3-2. Micoud and twice Valdez scored for Werder.
But Gustavo Nery of Werder Bremen will probably be out for the game against Anderlecht. He has a severe injury on his hand. The Mauves meet the German champions on Oktober 20.
