Anderlecht have finished bottom in four of the six group competitions they have contested and Broos believes this match will be pivotal if the side are to avoid a similar scenario.
"We have to win if we want to stay in with a chance of qualifying in the top two otherwise we'll have to reassess the situation. That said, I don't want to call this a must-win game and put unnecessary pressure on my players," he said.
The 2-0 loss to Valencia has not altered the Anderlecht coach's ambition.
"We are in the hardest group but I still expect us to get a maximum nine points from our home games, and if we can pick up one or two points away from home then we can qualify. I have every faith in my squad. They've been looking good in training and really look in the mood to produce something special on Wednesday night."
