RSC Anderlecht was able to win against Racing Genk, but it was a close victory. It didn't look good for the Muaves for a long time, but the Ivorian Aruna Dindane could twice in the last two minutes of the game.

Anderlecht started without any inspiration against Genk, they obviously missed their creative midfielder Wilhelmsson. After some chances on both sides, Genk took the lead in the 18th minute, by Engelaar. But soon after the goal, Matoukou was sent off the field after his second yellow card. In the last quarter of the second half Anderlecht had some chances, but Aruna wasn't able to round them off.

After the break, Oleg Iachtchouk replaced the injured Fabrice Ehret. But Anderlecht didn't play better. Until the 64th minute: Zetterberg with the corner kick, and Iachtchouk scored with a header: 1-1. But the gladness didn't last long. Four minutes later, Engelaar scored again for Racing Genk. A quarter before the whistle, Broos chose for an extra striker. Anatoli Gerk came on the field. And 5 minutes later, that resulted in a goal by Gerk: 2-2. That seemed to be the final result, but a minute before the whistle Aruna Dindane was able to score for Anderlecht. And the party wasn't over yet!
