The tradition learns us that Anderlecht will be beaten by Bremen tonight. First of all, we have the strong home-reputation of Bremen and the weak away-reputation of RSCA. Secondly, the Mauves always have problems with German teams

It has been 5 seasons since Bremen lost their last European game at home. Arsenal managed to beat Bremen with a 2-4 score.

Anderlecht already played 12 times on the field of a German team. The last 8 duels were lost. Bremen already played for 5 times against a Belgian team and won 4 times.

Then we have of course the painful memory of 1993. The Mauves were playing in Bremen for a place in the semi-final of the Champions League. The Brussels starteam (with Nilis, Rutjes, Bosman, Boffin, Degryse, Zetterberg, ...) were leading 0-3 at 20 minutes before time, but they lost 5-3...
