Bad period for Belgian football

It is a bad period for Belgian football at the moment. Belgium was on its way to rank 9 of the UEFA-ranking, but after the bad European results, it seems like they will lose this rank.


Rank 9 would mean that the champion Belgium has a direct ticket to the Champions League. The vice-champion would go to the third preliminary round then.

Belgium was on a virtual 9th spot, but Scotland (with Celtic, Rangers and Hearts) took over that spot this week. Also Turkey is a competitor, with Fenerbahçe and Besiktas.
