In Liège, everyone is preparing for the clash between Standard and Anderlecht. "We need games like this to regain our self-confidence", said Anderlecht-trainer Hugo Broos.

"We couldn't win any games like this one last year, but we have to win now. Though I don't want to put more pressure on the team, but I noticed that the players are ready for a good prestation now."

And indeed, the Mauves can't risk losing the game. If they do so, Club Brugge might be already 7 points ahead.
"That wouldn't be a total disaster, but it's certainly not good."

The good news for Anderlecht is that Christian Wilhelmsson returns from injury.
"Our play doesn't have to be pretty today. As long as we win, it's okay. After that, we can relax a bit and make some fun."

The bad news is that Aruna is suspended. Mpenza is still injured. The young Legear will take his place.
