Vercauteren's reaction

With Vercauteren (48), Anderlecht have chosen a 'clubman' to replace Broos. He is known for his excellent feedback, his diplomacy and his good technical approach.

In 1998-99, he formed with Jean Dockx an outstanding duet.

Vercauteren: "It's a regrettable decision. Everybody wanted to avoid it. Even the players did their best to get something out of it. But the results are decisive."


"At the end of this week, I will organise a serious meeting. These next few days, a few players are absent because of interlands obligations. But as soon as everyone is back, I will tell them a few things inside four walls. I expect that all this will be kept for ourselves and that we can see the results of it on the field."
