Inter accelerate discussions about transfer Kompany

Inter Milan have accelerated discussions with the representatives of Anderlecht defender Vincent Kompany in recent days. The 18 year-old will probably be sold by Anderlecht at the end of this season.


Kompany is a major target for Inter coach Roberto Mancini and the club's majority shareholder Massimo Moratti. It's reported Kompany has enlisted a FIFA agent with strong Italian links to initiate talks with interested clubs, which has led to Inter stepping up their negotiations for the player over the last week.

Anderlecht are asking around £8 million for the centre-half, who is also being chased by Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.
