Keepers' problem for Vercauteren

Unfortunately this is a very bad season for the 'Mauves' keepers. Except Van Steenberghe, the other keepers are all injured. De Matos, 16, may take place on the bench.



Here is an outline of the keepers' hierarchy in Anderlecht:


Zitka is training again after his broken arm but he cannot play before next week.


Peersman is doing psychologically better but his shoulder is now injured. He is getting cured but the match on Tuesday seems nonetheless too early for him.

Number 5 in the hierarchy is young Kevin Kempeneers but he will not be able to play either.


Kenny Van Hamel (international -16) is number 6 but he is too young to be selected (he is only 15).


Here is finally number 7, De Matos (originally Spanish), who may take his place on the bench if Peersman's and Van den Noortgaete's absence is confirmed.


The last possibility for Vercauteren is....Baseggio! Broos had already made such a choice against Inter.
