Anderlecht have secured their place in the final qualifying round of the Conference League. Sheriff Tiraspol once again proved too weak for this level, though the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The result mattered little, as Anderlecht rotated their squad and gave several players a rest.

Anderlecht started energetically, pressing high and creating chances, with Huerta going close early on. Just before half-time, Vazquez won a penalty after a foul by goalkeeper Dyulgerov, but Stroeyberg blasted the spot kick well over.

After the break, Sheriff showed more intent and created chances through Odede and Gjoni. Anderlecht responded with attacking changes, and in the 72nd minute Saliba headed in from a Bertaccini corner to make it 0-1.

Qualification was sealed, and young Elyss Dao even made his debut. Sheriff equalised in the 81st minute through Odede, denying Anderlecht the win but not their progression.

Final score: 1-1
Goals: 72' Saliba (0-1), 81' Odede (1-1)
