Did Sevilla offer 17 million euros for Kompany?

After the rumour that Vincent Kompany could make a move to Juventus in January, manager Herman Van Holsbeeck told that Sevilla have made a very high offer to sign Kompany a week ago.


"Until one minute before midnight, Sevilla called us", stated Van Holsbeeck. "They started by offering 12.5 million euros, but eventually, they wanted to give 17 million euros. But it was quite easy. Kompany was not allowed to leave Anderlecht."
