Anderlecht have lost two points again because of a mistake by goalkeeper Silvio Proto. Also Daniël Zitka isn't always secure. The press asked a reaction by Franky Vercauteren.

"Is that rotation system the reason Zitka and Proto make mistakes?", he asked annoyed. "I don't answer that question. You will have to judge. I know what I'm doing. I know that this was all planned. But you can take your own conclusions, the press is good at that." Vercauteren is clearly unhappy with the situation.

Filip De Wilde, former goalkeeper of Anderlecht, does not understand the plans of Vercauteren. "Rotating the goalkeeper is very dangerous. Anderlecht don't have a real number one. I think not only the goalkeepers, but also the players have problems with the rotation system. The best goalkeeper has to play, the second one has to work hard to be better. The problem is that the goalkeeper who plays now, isn't necessarily the best goalie. He just thinks: okay, now it is my turn."

Jean-Marie Pfaff: "There always has to be a clear choice who is the number one. Vercauteren has to take a decision, or else the problems will even get worse. I think the players have a different opinion. Some players like Zitka more, others want Proto between the posts."

Gilbert Bodart rotated with Michel Preud'homme in Standard sometimes. "Rotating is mentally very difficult. This system can break a goalkeeper. I would choose for one goalkeeper, who gets all the confidence and can make a mistake without sitting on the bench the next game."

Stijn Stijnen, who replaces the injured Tomislav Butina in Bruges at the moment, is playing very well. But what if Butina is fit again? Rotating? "No, that is very bad for a goalkeeper. That doesn't work", he stated.
