Nenad Jestrovic counts on a place in the starting line-up for the game against Real Betis. "I should always play if the team wants to win", he said in the newspapers. The striker is already tired of the rotation system.

Jestrovic stayed on the bench against Lierse. "Rotation can be a great thing for midfielders and defenders, but strikers and goalkeepers need confidence to be able to play at their optimal level", he said.

"I only participated two Champions League games last year because I was out with a fractured arm. I want to show what I'm worth now and that's why I need to play against Real Betis."

Nenad Jestrovic thinks that the game against Betis is the most important one of the whole campaign. "We can beat them, but we lack some team spirit at the moment. The strikers don't get enough good centers. We play on an island."

"Our midfielders don't penetrate enough", says Jestrovic. "People say I'm not playing at my best level, but I can assure you, I'm in great shape. I often get swapped after 55 minutes of play, but how ofter does Van Nistelrooy score in injury time?"

"If I had known that Anderlecht would hire Pujol, I would have asked for a transfer to Monaco. Former-coach Didier Deschamps called me this summer."
