Anderlecht defeated again

Anderlecht have been defeated by Liverpool with a 0-1 score. The Mauves continue their losing streak that way and are already close to the elimination from the tournament.


Anderlecht took the best start and created several good chances in the first 10 minutes. But it was Liverpool that scored after 20 minutes of play on a corner kick. Cissé was left alone and he scored a nice goal.

The Mauves tried to turn the tide, but Liverpool defended well.

After the break, Anderlecht pushed forward and deserved the equaliser, but Reina prevented the Belgians from scoring on a few good efforts. Until the last minute, Anderlecht tried but they couldn't score and stay without points in this Champions League campaign.
