Anderlecht managed to win the important match against Standard Liège with 2-0 tonight. Serhat Akin and Pär Zetterberg made the goals for Anderlecht. The Mauves are now two points ahead of Standard.

Anderlecht started the match with dedication and passion, and after eight minutes Pär Zetterberg had already the chance to open the score with a penalty kick. But Runje saved the poor kick.

Standard fought back and tested Daniël Zitka a couple of times. However, Serhat Akin was the first one to score. Ten minutes before the break he scored 1-0 after a good effort.
