No future for Baseggio in Anderlecht

According to the Anderlecht board, Walter Baseggio does not have a future in Brussels anymore. "I don't think we have any room left for Baseggio in our team for next season. It might be better for him to leave", said the manager.


"It's unlikely that Treviso can afford Baseggio. But Standard may be an option for Baseggio", reacted Van Holsbeeck. Walter Baseggio still wants to play in Anderlecht. "I will leave Treviso to play for Anderlecht again", stated the midfielder. "Zetterberg said to the press that I'm his successor, and that motivates me. But Standard isn't a bad team either. Their fans are fantastic", reacted Baseggio.
