Deflandre counts on place in first team

Eric Deflandre plays on Tuesday with Lyon against Anderlecht. Whether he will have a place in the first team, he doesn’t know yet. “But after a thigh injury I’m back 100% fit”, says the right defender in Het Laatste Nieuws.

“Friday against Strasbourg I sat on the bench, but I had a talk with the trainer, in which I can conclude that I will start the match against Anderlecht.”

“Anderlecht stays a difficult team to challenge, though we won 22 points out of 24 the last weeks. We now are much stronger than in the first match, but one match isn’t the other. Look at Anderlecht-Celtic and Celtic-Anderlecht.”
