Tottenham Hotspur raised their bid for Christian Wilhelmsson. Spurs already wanted to sign the winger in January, but he was not allowed to leave Anderlecht. Tottenham are prepared to offer 4.4 million euros now.

Lennon is playing on the right wing at the moment, so Wilhelmsson would be a terrific winger for the left side. Spurs manager Martin Jol favours a system in which the team attacks from the flanks.
