Defensive problems for Anderlecht

RSCA have problems in the defense. Tihinen, Zewlakow and Kompany left, so the club needs to find several reinforcements. Though it was already know for a long time that both players would leave, so the club should be prepared.


The Mauves are looking for a right back to replace Zewlakow. Vanden Borre was a good alternative, but he prefers playing on the midfield.

A few possible replacements are Joao Carlos (Lokeren), but he has a different style than Kompany. Also Skrtel has been linked to the Belgian champions. Anderlecht are already following him for a year, but they never succeeded landing him. The left back position is, with Van Damme and Deschacht, well covered. The right side of the central defensive is also well filled with Deman and Juhasz.

Vercauteren geeft ook nog aan dat hij graag, naast de vervanger van Kompany, nog een verdediger zou willen inlijven en ook één fysieke aanvaller zodat Sporting met een sterke kern de competitie kan aanvatten.
