Boussoufa: "I'll never go to Bruges"

3-4 against Westerlo, 2-1 against Real after a fabulous second half and a group in the Champions League that has possibilities to go to round 2. Anderlecht has known a wonderful week. And top of the bill, the game against Bruges.

One of the stars on the field is Mbark Boussoufa, who excelled at Westerlo and Real. Last season he beat Bruges with his former club AA Ghent with 4 - 1 results. "I've seen people cry after the game. I remember that a couple got married before the game. I didn't knew that Ghent and Bruges were such rivals. That's why I said that I won't leave Ghent for Bruges. The same for Anderlecht, I'll never go to Bruges."

In the meantime Boussoufa is the most popular player of Anderlecht. His shirt sells best: "People love me, and I love them," says Boussoufa who refused to wear number 21 on his shirt, Zetterberg's number.

I think that the number 21 can't be worn again by an other player. Pär was a monument. I like my number 11. I've heard Rensenbrink wore it. I've seen some old images of him, I'm flattered that I'm compared with him."

He's clear about the Dutch team: "I followed my heart. My whole family prefer the Morrocon team instead of the Dutch one. Van Basten and Cruijff can't change a thing about it."
