Anderlecht-Bruges, it's the game of the year. The expectations were high, but the game disappointed. There was a hard clash on the midfield and both teams struggled to create chances. The good part is that RSCA eventually won.

Anderlecht started without Van Damme. Juhasz and Pareja formed the heart of the defense. Nicolas Frutos wasn't even on the bench. Vanden Borre covered the right back position in stead of Legear.

The Mauves took the initiative, but they couldn't create much chances. The first was for Tchité, after 10 minutes, but his effort went over. The first real danger came from the Brugians via Englebert. Then it was Anderlecht's turn again. Tchité penetrated the visitor's, but couldn't score.

The second half was a lot different. Brugge took over the command of the game. Salou had the first chance, but Deschacht saved the day. The goal fell on the other side: Hassan showed his class with a great center between three defenders and Tchité scored, 1-0.

Bruges needed some time to recover and Anderlecht was dangerous on counter-attacks through Boussoufa and Tchité. The crowd celebrated when Boussoufa scored the 2-0, but the linesman had seen offside. Brugge pinned Anderlecht down on their own half now and Vercauteren brought Van Damme in to defend the lead. Despite the extra defender, Zitka had to save his team several times. Anderlecht couldn't keep the ball in the team anymore and it had to fight for every ball until the final whistle.
