Anderlecht are eliminated in the Champions League. After a 2-2 draw in Lille and the victory of AEK over AC Milan, Anderlecht are last in their group with three points. Lille are 3rd with 6 points, AEK 2nd with 7 points.

Anderlecht took the best start with a few chances, but Lille restored the balance in the game soon. After a few unsuccessful efforts from distance, they scored: Deschacht made a mistake in the box and lost the ball. Odemwingie scored after half an hour of play: 1-0.

The Mauves got a mental hit and came under pressure, but a few minutes before the break, Mpenza was sent clear of the defense and he scored the equaliser: 1-1.

In the second half, Lille already scored after one minute through Fauvergue. But Mpenza equalised again, one minute later: 2-2.

Anderlecht pushed the French side back and got a few chances and corner kicks. Then Lille took over the command again and Anderlecht had to defend the draw until the last minute. Van Damme got a red card 5 minutes before the end.
