Anderlecht 1974 – 1980 best Belgian team ever

The magazine Sport-Voetbalmagazine did a survey at 23 sports redactions in Belgium. According to the survey the ’74-’80 team was the best one ever in Belgium. The team won several prizes and Cups.


The Anderlecht of that time won 2 times the European Cup for Cup winners, something like the Champions League. In ’76 Hans Croon was trainer and in 1978 Raymond Goethals. In 1977 it played the finale of the European Super Cup and in ’76 and ’78 they were able to win the Cup. Next to Rensenbrink were also Arie Haan, Ludo Coeck, Frankie Vercauteren, Jean Dockx, Gilbert Van Binst, Hugo Broos, Jean Thissen and François Vander Elst part of the team.
