Anderlecht managed to win against Lierse, who are now on the verge of tumbling down into the Second League. The Mauves obtained an easy victory with a 1-4 score. The race for the title seems to become very exciting.

Lierse have a good history against the top teams, but this time Anderlecht definitely were too strong. After only three minutes Nicolas Frutos opened the score, and ten minutes later the Argentinian striker doubled the score after a header by Mbark Boussoufa.

Bob Peeters was brought on the pitch in the second half, but also the tall forward was not able to prevent Anderlecht from scoring. Tchité gave the assist, this time it was Boussoufa's turn to score the goal. Mark De Man replaced Ahmed Hassan, who was clearly disappointed with this decision of the coach. Some minutes later also defender Olivier Deschacht was able to score, but after a mistake made by the same Deschacht, Jarju was able to score the final 1-4 figures.
