Vercauteren demands more respect for players

"I hate the manner in which our performances are praised one week, the next they are tore down," said an annoyed Vercauteren. "Although I do realise our performances aren't always up to par."


"But players are only human, they have good and bad days. I know their capabilities and they deserve more appreciation. I see it as my duty to stand up for them against such comments and demand more respect for them."
