Vercauteren: "Title is an award for all our work"

During all the celebrating, there were a few players who had the time to give a reaction. Coach Vercauteren was very relieved. "To me, the title isn't that important, it's a reward for the whole team."

Van Holsbeeck: "We received a lot of criticism, but we reacted on the field. The beginning of the season was not that good, but there was always a team that fought for the victory on the field. This the title belongs to the whole group. We started something beautiful with them, and this is just the beginning. We want everyone to stay, even Hassan told us he is not going to leave. We will buy 2 or 3 more players to fortify the team."

Vanden Stock: "I can't remember how many goals we have scored the last few weeks. The group wanted the title and they managed to win it. Also thanks to our great audience. All that nonsense about having a bad atmosphere. We've proved it on the field that it's not true."

Frutos: "We are the champions and we can celebrate. I had faith in it. Leiva (who is on loan at Charleroi) promised they were going to win. I'll call him later and maybe he will party with us. I feel good here and I would like to stay."

Boussoufa: "Fantastic that we won the title in front of our fans. In the beginning it was not simple at Anderlecht for me, but it got better. Today I'm not going home, I'll be celebrating. But I won't drink, so I'll get home safe."
