Germinal Beerschot and Anderlecht meet over Sterchele

Germinal Beerschot chairman Jos Verheagen met the Anderlecht staff over the possible transfer of striker François Sterchele. According to Verhaegen it was a preliminary meeting.


Verhaegen was eager to point out that the Antwerp club is just as keen to keep their topscorer. A day earlier the chairman expressed his wish to see a Sterchele-Dosunmu attacking line for next season. "However, there are three parties and you have to take the wishes of all involved into account," conceded Verhaegen.

New meetings between the clubs are expected to be held next week.
