Max Von Schlebrügge joined Anderlecht seven months ago but he only played seven games in the championship and two in the Belgian Cup. Nevertheless, the Swedish defender is full of confidence for this season.

"I want to become a key player this season", states the defender. "I needed some time to adapt to life and football here and I was a bit disappointed because I didn't play, but I'm not giving up yet. I hardly played in my first season for Hammarby but the season after I was the leader of the defence."

"I feel that I have improved tactical as well as technical, although I didn't play a lot. It's very important to me that I had the time now to prepare the new season with players I already know, and my wife will move to Belgium, which is very motivating as well", the Swedish player reacts.

The defender does not only want to become a key player, he also wants to win the championship. "I celebrated the title last season but it didn't really feel like my own title. This season I really want to play in the Belgian championship as well as in the Champions League. I also want to play for the Swedish national team on the EC of next year, so it's important I make a good performance for Anderlecht. Everyone supports me very well here, especially Pär Zetterberg, so I'm sure I will succeed here", Von Schlebrügge reacts.
