The transfer of Jan Polak is already taken a couple of weeks now, and Nürnberg, his current team, is running out of patience. They gave the midfielder an ultimatum to take a decision before 3 August.

The German side are not at all against a transfer of their player. "We don't want to push Polak, but it's difficult to refuse an offer like the one from Anderlecht", Martin Badler, manager of Nürnberg, explains. "Jan knows he will be playing the Champions League in Anderlecht, we are only able to let him play in the Uefa Cup. We will let him decide for himself, but we would like to have an answer before 3 August. We have to play our first important cup match then", reacts Badler.

Also Anderlecht manager Herman Van Holsbeeck insists on a fast agreement. "We would like to complete the transfer before six August because we have to hand in the players list of the Champions League at that date", the manager says.
