After a yearlong stay in Romania, Cyril Théréau has returned to the Belgian competition hoping to make it with the Brussels top club. It was Théréau's Belgian girlfriend that convinced him to sign at Anderlecht.

Théréau cites not being able to adapt to the Romanian life one of his biggest reasons for leaving Steaua Bucarest. Now he's playing for Anderlecht, his girlfriend is among her family and friends again. "Since I was playing for Charleroi we had a house in Brussels. I already feel at home here."

At Steaua Théréau has got a taste of the Champions League. The prospect of playing in the prestigious European league again was an important element in signing for Anderlecht. "I got shivers down my spine when I heard the Champions League hymn. Too bad I couldn't score."
