Vercauteren: "Fenerbahçe game will be a test"

Wednesday Anderlecht will need to reach their top form in order to contain Fenerbahçe. A game that could make or break the season. Coach Vercauteren looked ahead. "Fenerbahçe will be a test."


"Belgian football is confronted with a number of problems," claims Vercauteren. "There a several points we need to work on: technique, intelligence, organisation and concentration. Achieving such a revolution will take years. In that sense, the game against Fenerbahçe will be a test."

In the meanwhile, Fenerbahçe has lost its first game of the season against the newly promoted Buyuksehir. The Anderlecht coach does not think that to be an advantage. "The loss surprised me. Everyone at Fenerbahçe will surely be alert now. Perhaps we'll see the same eleven players, but their mentality will be quite different."
