With only two goals in three official games, Anderlecht didn't take a great start. The club won the two league games, but it cost them a lot more difficulties than expected.

It seems that Tchité and Boussoufa aren't in great shape, but chairman Vanden Stock defends the two players: "We can't blame them for everything. They'll get their form back again. Then you'll see their true value for the team, just like last season."

Vanden Stock also reacted on the defeat in the Champions League. "I expected a better Fenerbahçe. We are physically stronger. That means that we can qualify. They have two weeks to catch up, but many of their star players aren't training. I'm glad Anderlecht didn't fall this low," he said.

Further, Vanden Stock also praised Lucas Biglia. "He's our best transfer in years. I hope he'll stay for a few more years. He's young and has two good friends here, namely Pareja and Frutos. He also has a very good manager (José Garcia). If he leaves, he'll go to a top club."
