Riots during the game against Fenerbahçe

Until the last minute, most of the fans kept cheering for their club. But a small group of fans started to riot. A fine will certainly follow, and Anderlecht's reputation in Europe has been damaged.


During the second half, Anderlecht fans in block L3 started a riot with Turkish fans in block P. The police and stewards were able to get the situation under control by arresting a few hooligans.

Though the situation almost got out of control a little bit later, when fans in block D3 tried to open a gate leading to the field. The game was interrupted by the referee. Lucas Biglia and several stewards managed to calm down the fans. A few windows were smashed, and one steward got injured. The match resumed after 5 minutes.
