It proved to be a difficult game for Ahmed Hassan. The playmaker could not lift the team towards a higher level. "The whole team played sub-par tonight," said the disappointed Egyptian.

"Me included, I admit. I feel terrible about not qualifying and want to apologize towards the fans and the club. They supported us for the whole 90 minutes."

"The game could not start worse for us. We gave away a goal just minutes into the game. That goal destabilised us completely. A quick goal would've gotten us into the match again, but we weren't lucky with two balls hitting the crossbar."

"Of course everyone wanted to play the Champions League, but we'll just have to focus on the UEFA Cup," said a disappointed Hassan.
